I got tired of living in two worlds
Like a lot of believers, I was quietly taught that there were two worlds. There was the holy world of church, prayer, and Scripture. And there was the other world, business, money, and getting ahead, where faith was supposed to wait outside the door. So I lived in both. I would pray with people on a Sunday, then watch the same people walk into Monday convinced that to survive in business they had to leave God at the gate.
I did not believe it, but for a while I lived as if it were true. Then it stopped adding up. The God I preached about on Sunday is the same God on Monday morning when the supplier lets you down, the money is short, and someone offers you a shortcut. If He is Lord of everything, He is Lord of the business too. Faith is not a distraction from the work. It can be the foundation the work stands on.
So I stopped keeping the two apart. I built Afriqroup to help African businesses grow on a solid foundation, and I run it every day. What I teach here is not theory I read in a book. It is what I am doing in a real company, with real decisions, real pressure, and real prayer behind them. That is the whole point of this work: to help you build a business that is both profitable and God-honouring, without trading away your faith, your integrity, or your purpose.
